Governance

EMP is a leader in spreading the adoption of world class investment and corporate governance principles.  From investment analysis to due diligence investigation to transaction documentation to corporate governance, EMP insists on best practices.  We use our influence to assure that our portfolio companies adopt complete transparency in their relationships with their investors.  We have found that this has a significant effect on ensuring good management of the underlying business, and ultimately in creating a positive environment for exit.  In turn EMP believes its reporting and information flow to its investors is on par with the best practices in the industry.

A critical element of fund governance includes participation in the oversight of each fund by its core investors through their participation on the fund's Advisory Board.
